See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

On July 9, 1640, John Punch became the first black person to be “legally” enslaved for life within the then American colonies.

We know his name. We know his name and we know the date and the judge that did it. We also know that two white dudes got a 1 year sentence for the same “crime.” (running away from someone who had bought a claim on their labor for a specific period of time).

Logging off

I’m logging off now and may not be logging on again.

Aside from everything else, tumblr has hidden all my posts with fic links and notes, which were the reason I came into tumblr in the first place.

I can be found on AO3 as iesika always and forever. If you want to keep reading fic by me, I suggest subscribing there. My profile there will also be updated with where I’m active and how to find me.

I can sort of be found on Twitter as jessie.iesika and Dreamwidth as iesika but I haven’t made the switch to actually activity. I’m always on Telegram @iesika. You can find me on gmail at jessie.iesika.

I’ve paid for a fistful of pillowfort codes but haven’t received any. When I do I’ll be iesika there too if they can get it functional.

The best place to find me for fic is AO3 and for talking is Telegram. I’m going to recreate some meta posts on AO3 as well and may put all that on Dreamwidth as well.

If we’re friendly and you want my skype or phone # shoot me a message or an email.

We never get a more forceful reminder that Will used to be a cop than when he tries to force Ingram to pick up that hammer.

I’m sure Will himself never tried to exploit this tactic before - he left the police because he was TOO HESSIANT to use deadly force - but he was clearly there long enough to learn a really straightforward way to get away with murder.

Which is, of course, manipulate the situation so it will appear that your life was in immediate danger, therefore justifying deadly force.

(Probably it would have helped with Will’s guilt problem if he was able to tell himself that Ingram was coming right for him, too).

“Nude women are only Art if there’s an urn in it,” said Fred Colon. This sounded a bit weak even to him, so he added: “Or a plinth. Both is best, o’course. It’s a secret sign, see, that they put in to say that it’s Art and okay to look at.”
